Teen dies in Brentwood shooting after attempted armed robbery (KRON) -- An attempted armed robbery resulted in a fatal shooting in a Brentwood neighborhood on Friday night, according to the Brentwood Police Department. Video: Toppled tree injures six people in Santa Rosa park Police say a group of people were leaving a residence on Chili Court when two suspects (a 17-year-old Antioch boy and a 20-year-old man from Walnut Creek) attempted to rob one of them using a gun. The victim, a 21-year-old from Antioch, was also armed with a gun, and the three began shooting at each other. The shooting occurred on Marjoram Drive, and the 17-year-old suspect and 21-year-old victim were both struck by gunfire. The 20-year-old suspect was not injured in the shooting. A total of three firearms were found at the scene. The teenage suspect was taken to an area hospital where he lated died of his injuries, police confirmed to KRON4. Six people injured after large tree topples over in Santa Rosa park (KRON) -- Six people were injured after a large tree toppled over at a park in Santa Rosa, according to the Santa Rosa Fire Department. VIDEO: Encampment fire sparks on Hwy 101 Fire crews were called to Spring Lake Park at 10:46 a.m. after learning that a tree had come down in the area. One fire engine, one rescue team and one Battalion Chief arrived at the scene with five separate ambulances. SRFD says one person suffered "major" injuries in the incident. One person suffered moderate injuries and four others were treated for minor injuries at the scene. Rome E-Prix temporarily halted after multi-car crash at high speed ROME (AP) — A high-speed multi-car crash saw a Formula E race temporarily halted on Saturday.The Rome E-Prix was red flagged on lap nine after numerous cars were involved in the incident which started when Sam Bird lost control of his Jaguar through a turn and hit a barrier, bouncing back onto the track. Bird’s car was then hit by the Envision of Sebastien Buemi and the Maserati of Edoardo Mortara, who were powerless to avoid the British driver.Antonio Felix da Costa, Lucas di Grassi and Robin Frijns also hit debris and had to abandon the race.The race was immediately halted and the drivers received swift medical attention.
