Driver dies after truck drives off roadway and onto Middle Fork of South Platte River in Park County

A driver died in a single-vehicle crash in Park County when a pickup left the road and came to a stop in the Middle Fork of the South Platte River.The State Patrol was notified of the crash on U.S. 24 west of Hartsel at 9:19 a.m. Saturday.The driver of a Ford F-350 pickup was westbound when the truck ran off the highway, according to the State Patrol. The driver, a 56-year-old Denver man, died at the scene. No passenger was in the vehicle.
