Loved ones are mourning a Hollywood executive who was shot and killed by a homeless woman who had broken into his home.The victim Michael Latt, 33, was found shot Monday night in his Mid-Wilshire home on the 900 block of Alandele Avenue around 6 p.m.A woman, Jameelah Elena Michl, 36, was arrested at the scene as the suspected shooter, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.Latt was transported to a local hospital where he died a few hours later.His sudden death has left colleagues stunned and loved ones devastated. Some of Latt’s friends described him as a “social justice warrior.”Latt was born into an entertainment family and worked as a marketing agent for films. (KRON) -- BART service across the Transbay Tube was halted for more than an hour on Wednesday due to a person who entered the tracks. BART police are now searching for that person. BART released a surveillance image of the person Wednesday evening. Anyone who sees him is asked to call (510) 464-7040. The person entered the tracks at the Embarcadero station. BART police inspected the Transbay Tube before clearing trains to return to normal but did not say anything about what happened to the person on the tracks."We are very sorry for the service disruption this individual caused and we are looking to hold them accountable," BART said. (KRON) -- California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert on Tuesday for a missing woman. Michele Paul, 81, has not been seen since Nov. 25. Paul is a 5-foot-2, 110-pound white woman with gray hair and black eyes. She is considered at-risk due to her age and cognitive issues. Paul was seen at her home in Geyserville on Nov. 14, and the alert was activated on behalf of the Healdsburg Police Department. Paul is believed to be driving a black 2019 Volkswagen Jetta with the California license plate 8LBD141. She was seen again in Monte Rio at about 2 p.m. on Nov. 25. She was going westbound on Highway 116 leaving Monte Rio. Healdsburg police turned the investigation over to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.
